Great graphic design is the place where words, meet images, and create harmony. The key values to remember when thinking about graphic design are:

SPACE - sometimes less is more. Pages or website that are cluttered, with too much crammed in, are similar to people that talk too fast without taking a breath. Sometimes we all need a moment to collect our thoughts along the way. Good design has a pace that allows the audience an invitation to learn, process information, and permission to ponder.

IMAGES - a good image is worth a thousand words. Investing in good imagery is worthwhile. 

VIDEO - in today's fast paced world people want information, and they want it NOW. Video provides the platform to share more content, in less time, with people whose time is precious. Home pages with video are reported to have much higher google rankings, enhanced audience engagement, longer site visits, and increased sales conversions. 

WORDS - can be beautiful. A good graphic designer can take even the most simple sentence and make people want to read it. (And we want people to read it). Remember that aesthetic volume is important too - there are times to shout, and times to whisper - and knowing the tone that your typography can create makes a huge difference to how people connect with your message.
